This is a story about cruelty to animals. Live hens and their chicks are carried as bundles on cycles and rickshaws without caring for their pain, thirst and hunger. People around do not care and police also does not intervene. A hen and her chick are the central characters as they invoke spontaneous sympathy and pathos.
